| Wow, peepz! It has definitely been so long since I have found some time to busy myself and write more on my blogs. It feels like over a year since I left off from the old place. Way too much has happened over the past few months to begin telling y'all what happened. I am almost done with all my core rotations for medical school. I am so enjoying much of life, getting to go to Florida, and Tennessee. I have so much fun going places, which keeps me a medical student sane sometimes. I surely have made quite a bit of friends here that I will always keep in touch with. I am looking forward to Christmas holidays and spending time with family soon. I know that it is time to go home and kick it with friends and buddies I have not met for almost two and a half years!! I got to make an effort this time to go and visit them. However, I have never forgotten everybody in my Xanga community either. So please, take care of yourself and keep me informed. Talk to y'all soon.

| Today, I got to meet up with 2 of my medical school classmates. Let's see, I came back from Peds rotation, and got my car's tags and registration done. Then, I got the chance to go to a 11:30 PM showing of, yep, you guessed it . . . Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift! In the beginning, I had my heart set on watching X3, The Last Stand, but after driving for half an hour through city traffic in order to avoid the jammed highway traffic in this congested big growing city, I was disappointed to learn that they were not even showing X3 at that theater. So, we had to make a decision fast, and it was between Pixar's production of "Cars" or it was, yes, 'Fast and Furious", and the latter won, hands down. Well, I was pleased and impressed with all those race stunts and action packed suspense. Those cars were definitely well built to hot rod drifiting and racing cars, but also lemme add in, they have got some fine actresses on the set. I saw the infamous Mitsubishi Evo being used as one of the race cars, of which I got the opportunity to ride in one of my Shr'port friend's Evo the time I was down in Dallas, TX. It made it that much more appealing to know how well the car goes, and even better to see the drifting and action packed competition on a bigger than life theater screen. Wow, it is amazing to see just how far a normal car can perform abnormally dangerous and risky stunts whether they were stunt drivers or not. All the banging, clanging, and crashing scenes were definitely well played out. I have to say this movie has the best race scenes I have ever seen, but that's just my opinion, I beg to differ from y'alls. Well, the same Shr'port friend also leant me a remake of the Japanese comic book story which models itself with drift racing, but produced and starred Chinese characters, especially one actor known as Jay Chow. So, in some respects, Fast and Furious to me, was a little spin off of that one, but they both are wonderfully produced movies. I am overall impressed. Now it is back to study time for me. Talk later y'all. | | |
| Hey y'all, it has definitely been quite some time since the last update. I guess I have been having so much fun. I went to this Bodies Exhibition here that showed dissected anatomy bodies that were well plastinated and maintained for public display. They reminded me of the plastinated pro sections that I recall learning my anatomy lessons from. There were very interesting displays of the nervous systems, and some showing just only the arteries and veins of a human body. It was awesome to see some of the congenital and birth defects as well as other fascinating displays. It was worth the money, as it really defied any anatomy lab class I have had, getting to see them up close and refreshing my memory with the muscle groups and all. I went with three other friends of mine who are rotating with me. Just yesterday, I met up with a good old medical school classmate of mine who lives about an hour and a half's drive from here in a city called, Rome. We went out to have dinner at this seafood place called Joe's Crabshack which was good. I haven't seen her in quite some while, so it was nice to meet up again. Other than this, I am not really enojying my pediatric rotation as much. It seems so difficult to see and treat little kids and babies as well as newborns. They are so delicate and small, but yet they can cry blue murder when they need to. I think I know that pediatrics is not in my favor for residency options. I think I will stick with either, Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or even Surgery for my residency options, but who knows? Things may change. However, for now, I have three more weeks left with Peds, and I only go into Peds every Mondays and Tuesdays, leaving the whole rest of the week off for me. Thank goodness, I need the break. By the way, I bought my car at the Cumming Car Auction, which is great. I love the 2002 Toyota Camry Solara, it runs great, and looks great, with great gas mileage too. Life is good for now for me, hope it stays this way for some time. Bye. | | |
| Hey y'all, I have been so caught up in so much mess lately, that I find myself falling behind the times that sometimes I just wonder will I ever have the time later on as a practicing physician. I have been experiencing horrible thunderstorms and rainfall like no other here. The past few days of 2 or more inches of rainfall have certainly taken care of the high rising pollen count, but there seems to be no control of high rising gas prices. It is about time that the government or Congress take a part of this matter which will greatly affect theeconomy big time. I pay well over $40 to fill up my 15 gallon tank, and sometimes I think it just costs an arm and a leg to get around these days. I am feeling the pinch in my wallet, as I shower money to gas stations that always seems to aggravte me when I notice a nickel increase in gas prices, almost every time I fill up the car. I just feel that the government needs to address the problem fast, as many businesses are hurting bad, and I mean bad, that people are reshaping their daily rituals and customs to make gas prices more affordable and lasts that extra mile to go to and fro from work and home, let alone all the other errands that need to be accounted in the high price of daily living. Airfares, cars, gas stoves and burners, really do burn people and cause a wave of wildfire of angry folks who need to get around. Well, so much for poor me, and literally "poor me" with thousands of dollars of medical tuition costs and loans, to be more in debt to my vehicle and its fuel needs.
By the way, I got this e-mailed to me, which I thought was realistically interesting as it fit with my rotation through Family Practice clerkship right now. It shows the process of life, and so I wanna share it with y'all below.

| I think I am doing okay with my Family Practice rotation. They use the
Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, which makes things easier,
except for the fact that patient info is all kept in one laptop that
the doctor uses. I have been having some trouble getting the past
medical histories of patients, and entering new data without the master
laptop. Well, news came in that another tablet pc will be ordered and
the EMR program installed to be used next week. I think that EMRs can
really be very beneficial and efficient in terms of patient data and
management. Well, speaking of Easter, I am glad for Easter in many
respects, one that as a devout Catholic myself, I know that this Friday
is the last Friday of Lent to abstain from meat, and the last of
seafood or fish meals. I am starving now, and am so ready to go for
lunhc now. This Easter weekend, I plan on visiting the Aquarium, which
is one of the US largest aquarium. Since its opening a few months
back, I have been way too busy to give it a visit. As you can guess,
it will be jam packed with people like sardines in a can, but I will
still make all efforts to go and enjoy the white sharks and jelly fish
exhibits there. I look forward to this visit and take my mind off of
work and study for the time being. Last weekend, April 8, 2006 I got
to go to the annual Dogwood Festival which was really fun. Seeing all
the children run and go wild, while the dog frisbee catch contests and
performances were definitely spectacular. I got the infamous funnel
cakes, and crab cake sandwiches were aways delicious. I gandered at
the displayed artwork and decided that they were too expensive to
purchase. So with that, I am looking forward to be up close and
personal to my white sharks this Easter weekend, and I wish y'all the
same, HAPPY EASTER!!! | | |
